Behaviour Curriculum
Successful relationships are underpinned by the positive ethos promoted in our culture; a culture which demands high expectations of staff and pupils and which also demonstrates respect, tolerance and understanding of difference, in the drive towards equity of opportunity and high aspirations for all.
While this curriculum is intended for all pupils it will be applied differently in different year groups depending on pupils’ ages and may be applied differently depending on individual pupils’ SEND needs. Sensitivity must be applied at all times when teaching the behaviour curriculum and it is expected that all pupils have access to a modelled behaviour curriculum.
At Lime Walk we consistently develop children’s character through a set of agreed behaviours and habits that we expect students to demonstrate. We want to support our pupils to grow into adults who are polite, respectful, grateful and who understand that all people have equal value.
We believe that, as pupils practise these behaviours over time, they become habits that positively shape how they feel about themselves and how other people perceive them.
All staff know the details of this curriculum, teach it explicitly to pupils and continuously maintain the high standards we set. By doing so we support each other to create a culture where pupils feel safe and are able to learn in an optimised environment and where teachers are free to teach unimpeded.
Successful relationships are underpinned by the positive ethos promoted in our culture; a culture which demands high expectations of staff and pupils and which also demonstrates respect, tolerance and understanding of difference, in the drive towards equity of opportunity and high aspirations for all.
We aim to create a culture of exceptionally good behaviour: for learning, for community and for life. We aim to build a community which values kindness, care, respect, tolerance and empathy for others and to help learners take control over their behaviour and be responsible for the consequences of it.
We encourage pupils to value the diversity in our society and the environment in which they live whilst becoming active and responsible citizens, contributing to the community and society. Through encouraging positive behaviour patterns, we promote good relationships built on trust and understanding.

Personal Development
At Lime Walk we recognise the importance of personal development for children to shape character, skills, and overall well-being through key principles. These include:
- self-awareness
- social skills
- emotional regulation
- future success
- holistic growth
Our curriculum aims to help children understand their strengths and weaknesses within a diverse and supportive environment, aiding in better decision-making and goal setting and to develop empathy, communication, and conflict resolution, essential to form healthy relationships. Children are taught strategies to manage emotions and build confidence, resilience and motivation, which are crucial for emotional well-being.
At Lime Walk we believe physical, cognitive, and emotional development lays a solid foundation for academic and professional success in later life, equipping children with the necessary skills and knowledge to empower all learners to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
